St. Clairsville's Main Street thrives with small business growth

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — The business community along Main Street in St. Clairsville has been flourishing over the past three years, thanks to the efforts of Heidi Riley and Luran Williams.

The duo formed the St. Clairsville Main Street Small Business Group with the aim of fostering growth among small businesses in the historic district.

"The outpouring support of all our local businesses is amazing," said Riley, a manager at Cedar One Realty. "The community is loving having a central place to go and do fun different activities. A scavenger hunt, interactive art walks, the community just loves being in the downtown area."

Since its inception, the group has expanded to include 21 business members and hosts events almost every month on Main Street. Popular events such as a car show and a chocolate walk have drawn crowds of up to 200 people.
